light up only set cue points in tpro
sorry if this topic has been brought up before:
i’m doing a remap of my controller right now and one thing i’m wondering is if i can only light up the leds of set cue points (hotcues)?
if i map my hotcues and double the midi action and set it to output then i cannot choose which hotcue i mean, so i guess this way is a dead end…
thanks!
Prolly quite possible using a combo of bomes and midi output from traktor pro.
depends on your controller though (and that it has LED support in it’s programming…if it’s something like the dascratch, you’re all set!)
yep, got a vci-300, so it has definitely led output
normally i do know how to map my controller and its leds, but i’m kinda stuck on this one…
and i gotta admit that i don’t see how bomes could help me with that…
any suggestions?
Herm…not much experience with the 300. I could probably give you an idea if I saw the MIDI map for the LEDs. I’ll look around and see if I can find it (or you could just post a gif here.
)
Otherwise there’s probably someone with more experience that could help!
that’s a good idea, maybe i should show what i exactly mean
a picture says more than thousand words…
the first picture shows the mapping to jump to hotcue1, as you can see on the bottom theres a box that says “Button Options” → “Set to Value”: “Hotcue1”. That’s because there’s only one command for traktor to select a hotcue and you have to specify which hotcue you mean with this listbox.
now the second picture shows the action copied and changed to output - as you can see there’s no way to specify which hotcue you mean, so there’s no way to light only the set hotcues…
You’re going to have to use modifiers I think.
Have the set cue, set MOD1 to 1.
then have when MOD1 is 1 output to LED1
that make sense?
that would be a good idea, but only if i press a button first (e.g. if i set the cue point then it gets lighted).
but what if i load a track that has already e.g. 3 hotcues set?
Herm…honestly? I’m not sure. I don’t have my laptop with me today either to check.
I can check when I get home. But in my stead, anyone else got an idea?
thanks for your help anyways, at least you tried
I’ll take a look later tonight once I get home, see if I can’t discover a fix for yah. (That is if someone brilliant like Bento doesnt come along first)
It looks like the only way you’re accomplishing this is if you set a macro to cycle through any and all cuepoints on trackload. that way every track load would send midi singnals. otherwise, there arent cuepoint midi signals that could be applied.
