Looking to buy an intro controller for Traktor 2.5

Looking to buy an intro controller for Traktor 2.5

I’ve already got the korg nano series and I’m pretty happy w/ the way I have them setup but I want something I can actually work with and not feel like I look like I’m just mashing my pads. Any suggestions would be great.

Whats your budget?

Numark mixtrack pro definately

about 300$ I’ve looked at getting the mixtraxk pro or the Hercules RMX. I’m also getting a MF classic to practice on.

Hercules is too small

I would look at a used Novation Twitch. Seen new and used ones for $350 and below at eBay. If you don’t miss the jog wheels – which me thinks are very unnecessary with DJ controllers unless you scratch and you seldom like the feeling anyway – Twitch is a good idea. Has good Traktor mapping, too. Small to transport.

I was going to suggest the Twitch too. I played with one at Guitar Center seems pretty solid, and stuffs.

I’m selling a Traktor Kontrol X1, if you’re interested.

I do kinda want the jog wheels. I like the idea of searching through the track for a specific point in the wave form.

selling traktor s2 if you’re interested, i can email you some pictures, so you can inspect. 4months old. still got receipt for future warranty service. comes with everything

hope you’re willing to sell that for my budget

I’m selling a vestax typhoon $275 obo! msg me if interested.

Look out for a secondhand Vestax VCI 100, there should be loads around as everyones jumped ship to get the new Native Instruments beasts or the newer Vestax shitznuttz.

I got Faderfox modualrs (DJ2 & DJX) and a Vestax VCI 100… this was secondhand … just flashed the firmware to 1.4 and i really love this.

BUT I’m a club DJ and not into going mental with this controllerisum stuff… So the VCI is just right. I take all controllers out … Faderfoxes if the space is too small in the booth.

the torq xponent is dirt cheap these days  the controls don’t feel all that amazing but its a solid controller with modding opportunities

Just for the record the touch strips on the twitch allow you to search through a track just like jog wheels. In fact, I have found it superior for my personal use.

And if you’re interested I have a twitch for sale for $300. I’m just looking to downsize so I getting rid of it.

I have a hercules 4-mx which i paid 400 for but feel like a fool now for not getting something with 4 volume faders and more buttons and knobs. If i were you and were buying a controller I wouldn’t look to deeply into the jog wheels If you want to use the jog wheels a lot get vinyl or cdjs both feel immensely better in my opinion (from what I’ve learned in my purchasing experiences). I now rock vinyl and don’t even touch my jog wheels vinyl also helped me move away from my controllers easy ability of syncing and allowed me to learn to transition a little more similar to a pro

well ive got a guy thats selling his s4 + a case for CHEAP so i think im going to do that

I would get that one in a heartbeat but I’m swamped with HW and SW (like tons of plug-ins I purchased and yet to be used…) Twitch is a really good concept.

So ive talked to this guy and i’m kinda apprehensive about the price. BUT it comes w/ a road case and both look to be in solid condition.

Usually road cases for S4s are heavy. If you are going to spend time with the S4 in a gig bus it might make sense. For flying most take it inside the cabin with a smaller good bag. PS: Twitch is much smaller.
