Looking to for advice on buying a used Macbook for Traktor 2?

Hi guys,

I’ve been looking to buy a new laptop to run traktor on as my old is well passed it’s day. I’ve been thinking of switching to Mac and found a Macbook pro that was almost 6 years old. The Specs were 4GB Ram, Core 2 Duo @ 2.4 Ghz, 250GB HDD and it was 13.3". Will this be enough to run Traktor or will it spike the CPU and under perform.

I don’t use much effects, maybe the odd reverb splash or delay but that’s about it.

Sounds similar to mine. Except I have 8 GB of ram and a bigger screen.

i think it will run, I have traktor pro 2 running on a 2009 laptop freshly reformatted with much lower specs than that. but i wont personally get anything past 3 years. though it may show okay condition, you will never know when it will give up on you.

Good point, arsman. Although, with mac, their hardware will usually out live their software. Not to say their hardware is immortal but usually Apple drops support for their legacy hardware way before the hardware takes a nose dive.
