Macbook and S4
Hi Guys,
Just a quick one: are you using the macbook (white one) with an S4. I know it’s compatible, but is it up to the job?
Thanks,
Martin

i’m using a late 2009 13 pro and the specs are pretty much identical (2,26GHz 2GB RAM). Performance is flawless so I guess it should perform pretty much the same in the white one
you should be fine, as long as you have a 2 ghz / 2 gb ram on the macbook.
Cheers, plan to stick 4 gig in there.
I running the late 2009 model with 4GB / 2 ghz things a beast, had a slight matter with crackling but that was my fault, I had pretty much everything else running i.e. safari, beaTunes, Mixmeister and iTunes…so yea its well capable for it! ![]()
Also found i can map any number of LED’s without fault(for anyone wanting to know) <.<
Yeah - as long as it is an Intel mac.
Stick to the basic rule-of-thumb
-turn off your airport
-clear out (quit) all you apps (other than Traktor)
-keep the ac charger plugged in
-always restart your computer before every set
2 gigs of RAM will be a must too!
I actually like the older powerbook G4’s cause they are cheaper than the pro model and you still get the firewire plug; this can free up a USB port
Always forget to -turn off your airport
^ same as above -clear out (quit) all you apps (other than Traktor)
I like to cycle my battery -keep the ac charger plugged in
Once per month, mabye -always restart your computer before every set
+1 on JesC’s reply! ![]()
