making a transition from 120bpm to 124bpm (traktor pro)

This!

and that ofcourse!

:d +1

If the clock is set to auto then whichever track is playing will become the “Master” track, so when you hit sync it will sync to the track that is currently playing. To get around it, you can set the clock to int (internal) and then the clock itself becomes the “Master” and everything will sync to it regardless of whats playing. OR you can hit sync, allow the track to go down to 120 bpm, then pitch it up while it’s playing back to 124 bpm.

This thing

use it

the problem with ‘dj’s’ these days is they dont want to learn the fundamentals of our ‘art’…

between crawling and running, we learnt to walk.

Lame!

That is exactly why we asking question’s josh! to learn isn’t it!
Why don’t you educate us then instead of somehow claiming this art
belongs to you or anyone… certainly not!

Not everyone on this forum is a ‘DJ’ or wants to be, some of us are just curious how this software works and mostly use it for fun..

i suggest you go put a shrimp on the barbi?

Digiman I would consider your last statement a personal attack so lets tone it down a little bit. I think what Josh is trying to say is that there was a time when we couldn’t just ask someone because most times we were the only DJ’s we knew. So we sat down and played with it and figured it out on our own. Now it’s easier to just ask and have someone on the internet tell you. The problem with that though is you lose a little bit of what you learned by just figuring it out on your own.

What your asking is very simple to do. Keylock on and match the beats up either using sync or doing it manually. It doesn’t really matter which way you go as the difference between 120 and 124 is not very much at all. If I’m mixing two songs of different BPM sometimes I’ll have the discrepancies meet halfway. So if there’s a 5% difference between the two I’ll change the outgoing track to 2.5% and have the incoming track at 2.5%. this makes it a less drastic of a change.

RTFM! man. Elementary stuff dude.

I don’t blame him for getting so defensive. Half of the comments were sarcastic stabs at him for being new.

Also if you got nothing constructive or encouraging to say to a new guy then click back on your browser, let someone more mature handle it.

I agree with photojojo. Your original question was answered and you could have found it in the manual anyway, but over the course of the discussion you’ve called someone a nob another person lame. That’s not the attitude to take when you’re asking for help with quite simple issues, such as using the sync button and key lock.

And the comment about putting shrimps on barbies is at best ignorant and at worst border line racist!! I’m sure it wasn’t meant that way but it’s DEFINITELY not the kind of comment I really want to be reading!!

I dno, I had some pretty good barbied king prawns in Oz. It’s not a bad thing to have a reputation for :stuck_out_tongue:

And I did buy a hat, admittedly not with corks hanging round it. Akubra, if you want to know (I’m sure you didn’t).

And I did drink a lot of beer. But not fosters.

What’s wrong with Fosters??!!

It’s available in some hotels there, but I’m not sure I ever saw it in a regular bar. It’s all VB… which is owned by…

But the best beer they have imo is this

frickin’ unreal.

magical mysteries up in here

This is really pathetic.

All I wanted to know was how to make a transition from an intro track to more progressive tracks… and did receive some decent info and thankyou for that..

what i’m not happy about is when we newbies ask stupid questions and get even stupider answers and to some what bullied by the ‘gurus’ especially… it reminds me of dumb and dumber and that’s where I got the 'shrimp on the barbi from.. its not at all racist.. it’s freeking hilarious..

any one selling any chill pills??

did you read the manual yet?

What’s right with it? Horrible gassy shite

I presume there have been things in the past you have taught yourself to do / read the manual for…?

Like learning microsoft word, excel, html, i dunno…

Bit of trial and error.

The problem is your question shows the root of the problem of digital djing now. It was just super super basic as to seem slightly ridiculous. Perhaps in a year or two you might see this.

It took me about 3 months to learn to beatmatch confidently on vinyl… no internet in those days.

People are always going to be a bit sarcy to questions that are answered simply in the manual because probably we had to read the manual or trial and error to learn it.

Personally I only ask on a forum when I have exhausted the other options.

I’m pig headed like that… but i’m also a wicked dj

Newbies shouldn’t be rude… sometimes the answers are sarcy because it’s “tough love” ie your question is basic, try harder.

Also you’re bound to want to ask another (less obvious) question in the future so perhaps is best to build bridges rather than burn them…
