mapping multiple banks for remix decks on livid base

I’ve gone through and changed all the pad like you said but I’m still lost as far as mapping the leds for each different state. I would like for a pad to light up purple if a sample is loaded and if one is not loaded i would like it so not light up at all and when one is being played i would like the pad to light up green. Another thing i need help with is how to assign the less to just light up when I’m in the first modifier button selected.
thnaks a lot for all the help guys this has been a tough yet rewarding trip.

Ok so I made the LED state for Deck C - Slot 1, Cell 1… But there is one problem about incorporating this in your mapping and it’s called “traktor has only two damn modifier condition slots”. Meaning, first condition slot needs to be assigned for different ‘Remix Deck Slot State’ which actually tells base to display correct LED color state and your second modifier should speak ‘Sample Page Selector’ same as with your trigger cell commands - As you can see, there’s no room for your M1 as both conditions are busy in this scenario. I’ll see if there’s a workaround somehow.

thanks a lot for all the help I’ve tried multiple things but can’t find a work around for now i will map them without led feedback.

Hey, I actually had one solution which is not exactly what you have had in mind for cell state colors but anything’s worth a shot. Right?

for sure! what do you have in mind?!

This LED cell mapping will be less complex job. I’ve mapped cell 1-4 in the deck C.

Empty = black
Loaded = blue
Waiting = green
Playing = yellow

After a lot of trial and error i finally got the less mapped to the colors i wanted and to act like i wanted like i described earlier.
Took me forever but i got all 4 cell pages mapped for decks c and d. do you know how i would go about mapping the cell capture function for each cell?

Hey man, I’ve just tested this. Looks M1 is missing as a condition in your cell output commands (M1=0)… Later on when you start adding content to your other banks, this can cause refresh LED state monitor problems in the trigger mode. Beware.

This two commands should take care of capturing from deck:

Cell Capture Selector / Button / Direct / Deck
Cell Capture Modifier

Note that all the cell input commands needs to be mapped in the same bank as a Modifier.

i can’t find cell capture selector in the list to map it did you mean capture source selector? I did find cell capture modifier though but I’m a bit confused. If i map all the cell input commands to the same bank as the modifier m1value0 how will the software know when to trigger the samples and when to capture if they are sharing the same modifier?

Yes, I meant for capture source. sorry

The software will be capturing the samples only while the cell capture modifier is active - you set both the cells and the capture modifier in the same state M1=0 and you’re on a good way.

what i dnt understand is what do i map the cell capture selector and cell capture modifier to on the base? do i map it out to each cell like i mapped out each cell trigger? I’m just very confused at this point!

You could ether add capture modifier in your current cell trigger bank (M1=0) or map out entire new bank of cell triggers (M1=1) and assign the capture modifier in there…

For instance, map entire new set of triggers and use top row of touch buttons to control deck capture. Probably the best solution would be dedicating one new bank for this feature.

just got done mapping all the cell capture for deck c i went ahead and dedicated a new bank for it so far so good!
so will i have to basically do the same if i want to map cell delete, slot trigger type, slot play mode? just wanting to make sure there isn’t a faster way to do so mapping every single cell trigger multiple times on different banks takes forever!! but the mapping is coming out great :thumbsup:

Good job! It would be great if you could make some room for your other options in the same new bank. Otherwise, you’ll have to deal with the same process again.

If you’re on mac check out Xtreme Mappings app - makes mapping a lot more fun. And if you’re not then welcome to the club :smiley:

I’ve been messing around wit mapping the slot play mode so far this is what I’ve done. I was able to map slot play mode to the top touch buttons for remix deck 3 slot 1-4 but that only allows me to change the play mode after i trigger a cell in that slot I would like to map it out to were I can just hold down my modifier button and select a specific cell and have it shuffle through the slot play modes without having to trigger it first.

No can do - slot play and trigger mappings isn’t designed to work like that.

ok no problem after two months i finally got the mapping done! id like to thank vangogo and stewe for the help you guys are great and so is djtt! now time to enjoy some pints and jam! much love thanks homies! i will do my part and test the mapping and upload for all to use :smiley:

cool - we look forwards to your upload!

Jam on it!
