Hello friends, I am willing to produce, I am thinking of buying a Mikro Maschine it already comes with a software production. How easy it is to produce and this Mikro Maschine Software?
I also have an Allen and Heath Xone 4D, Ableton for me is very complicated.
I haven’t used Maschine, but it looks great. However, I’m not sure it’s quite a replacement for Ableton. It’s slowly turning into a full out DAW, but it’s not quite there yet. I view it as more of something that you use in addition to Ableton.
Maschine software is pretty easy to learn especially with all of NI totorial videos. I to am learning ableton which confuses the hell out of me, but you can get up and running with maschine rather quickly. Great product though (I have the standard maschine) defenitaly worth the money especially if your a hiphop producer.
Maschine is hands down the fastest way to just get into the flow. My first groove box ever was Maschine and down the road I bought an MPC 500 to be ultra portable, but just couldn’t get into the groove. Once you know how to work Maschine and get comfortable with it, there just isn’t anything like it.
I second the notion, maschine is the one of the greatest product sever made, well except for the fact it’s midi mode still conks out every once in a while…but if you use maschine as a vst in ableton, it’s a beautiful thing man. There are two great books on ableton that helped me out tremendously, I hade no idea at first but I’m way more comfortable now. I have the full maschine not mikro so I can’t compare exactly but Maschine is the truth
I think Maschine Mikro is a joke…but I use those knobs all the damn time. Most of the reason I like it is that I can forget there’s a computer attached after a few minutes…and having to use the mouse to adjust things and pick sounds would ruin that.
And I think you need to use it with some DAW to record what it does and finish a track. I prefer Logic or Pro Tools, because I think it takes forever to do anything with Ableton, but I admit that I’m weird and that’s not a sentiment anyone else shares.
I Dont think your weird, i think your absolutely spot on!
The combination of Maschine and Protools is amazing!
I use Maschine software (and hardware ofcourse!) standalone for sketching up the idea. Beats, samples, bassline and hook. Then i open maschine up as a plugin in protools and finish it off. Smoothest workflow Possible! I am a fulltime proffesional studio engineer and theres just nothing like protools in terms of Audio and Bus quality!
