Just wanting to know what the best way to set your mac book pro up for running traktor as at the moment I don’t do a huge amount other than open it and start running.
Having only moved to digital in Jan I am still (relatively) new to this. I watched Mike Charles’s video but all he does is says “this is what I do using Automator” hits “go” and you don’t actually see the set up?
Can I have a general “turn this off”…“make sure this is on this setting” etc as I want to make sure that I am doing it right.
I have a MBP 2.55 4gb ram 15.4 inch, one of the newest.
I knew this was right, as everything runs fine but found the Mike Charles video on youtube without having read the article and it looked like he did loads of stuff so I started thinking i was doing something wrong but, Karlos, you forgot step 2…open beer?
The mantra used to be that you should turn off all WiFi / Bluetooth and Virus protection but in all honesty (i still advise it) i have accidently DJd with WiFi/BT on and not had any pops and clicks that were previously associated with Apples Airport Extreme cards.
There was an update for Airport during the later Traktor 3 days which rendered it unusable when running Traktor. This was totally a fuck up by Apple. They seem to have addressed it but no info was ever released by Apple.
