Midifighter utility 2.63 wont recognise MF 3D

Midifighter utility 2.63 wont recognise MF 3D

I’ve just received the MIDI Fighter 3D.

  • I plugged it into my USB hub
  • Went to the DJTT site to download the software.
  • Realised not to plug it into the USB hub. so i removed it.
  • Installed the software (2.63)
  • Plugged in the midi fighter 3d. Didn’t recognise.
  • Deleted the midi fighter in the midi studio
  • Plugged it back in. Nothing.
  • Deleted the MF from the MIDI studio & deleted the software. Doesn’t recognise.

OSX 10.10.1
Midi Fighter 3D Firmware is unknown
Midi fighter utility 2.63

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

I have the same problem!

Any help is greatly appreciated as well!

Hi all,

Having the same issue as the OP. Midifighter Utility 2.63 won’t recognize my mf3d. I see “Scanning” in the lower left of the utility.

Late 2013 13" MBP Retina
OSX 10.10.1

Thanks as well.

I have the same problem as well. Any luck on resolving the issue?

I resolved the problem. Had to go into Audio MIDI setup, unplug the midi fighter, then select the grayed out midi fighter MIDI device and then click “Remove Device”. After that, I plugged it back in, new midi fighter device appeared, and the utility recognized it.

Happy to hear that your solution worked, however my mf3d doesn’t even appear in Audio MIDI setup. What is the model of your macbook and what version of OSX are you running?

I had to go thru the same procedure to use my MF3D

I’m with Tyrone on this one. My mf3d doesn’t appear in Audio MIDI setup. I’m running mf utility 2.63, my mf Twister shows up, my mf 3d does not. Need help.

So I sent a support ticket and the support guys suggested that I use the Audio Midi setup method to resolve my issue. There was a step missing from what punkbot mentioned.

The steps are:

  1. Go to audio midi setup
  2. click window in the top menu
  3. click “show midi studio”
  4. plug in then unplug your mf3d
From there you can remove your greyed out device.

After I did that, the mf utility was able to recognize my device.

Hope that helps!
