I know a lot of people myself included have been looking for a software like Mixed in Key but that did a little bit more than just detect the Key and BPM. I picked up the latest version of BeaTunes today after finding out that in version 3.0 it now detects Key much like MIK.
I will be putting it through it paces tonight on my library. My collection isn’t huge but hopefully it will help me tame it a little bit. I’ll post results later on about how close the Keys matched to MIK.
Nice. Ive been wanting MIK for a while but can’t come around to dropping 60 dollars on it. It will be nice to see how this works out for you. Beatunes is only 31or 32 dollars so if it works well that might be my best option…
I was getting at something that did a little bit more than just find the key. I know there’s lots of software out there that can find the key of the track some better than others. But if I’m going to spend money on software I would like for it to do something a little bit more than just tell me the key and tempo of a track. Which is why I mention the new BeaTunes. I didn’t know this was a name your favorite Harmonic Mixing Software post.
