During that touring thread Tekki started I got an idea.
What about, in addition to the crazy DJTechTools mixes we’re making we team up and do two or three person mixes? Like, for example, Bento and I team up. I mix two tracks together and send em to him. He mixes two more tracks onto it and sends it to me, ad infinitum.
If we really start doing this I think we should petition Ean to get some extra server space (maybe we all chip in) and give us a little tab up top where we can send people.
The 10 person mixes are a great idea also, and I think we should keep doing them, but this could really help push our boundaries.
maybe when this mix is done I can link it on my mixtape site.
btw…if anyone has any mixes already uploaded to the web and want it to be linked. Send me a PM with the link and the playlist and I’ll link it on the site.
Alright, so… how do you guys think we should do this?
Break DJs down to teams of two, maybe 40 minute mixes each? 1 hour mixes? What do you guys think? The DJs involved can decide the rules of their mixes individually (length of selections, etc.) but I’d want these to stick to a specific length. Maybe every month we have a vote on them? Maybe winners get put up on the site, or something?
I, of course, have no authority over that. Hence just basic ideas. I can’t provide server space, but if someone can that could make this really simple.
Oh, and as has been discussed, if anyone is interested in mixing it up with my trance, hardstyle, breakbeat, industrial, ebm just let me know. You don’t need to spin those styles, or we can decide who spins what, to make things interesting.
