Mixed in Key with D2/S8 / Traktors key field
Has anybody an Idea how to get Mixed in key shown in D2/S8
or how to get mixed in keys key result straight to traktors key field?
Use KeyFinder software (it’s free).
Go to settings, under custom tags input the MiK keys. Just follow this video:
Then the harder part is getting Traktor to update the key field in the browser (try consistency check of the whole collection, analyze files that won’t show the new value. Or export and then import the whole collection with the commant to read file tags instead of internal Traktor database when importing)
Camelot key tip: don’t input keys in 1A, 2A, 3A,… format. Use 01A, 02A, 03A, etc.

MP3tag is a fantastic prog, but it don’t have the option to analyse key. What you can do, is run files through it removing comment tag, then running files through mixed in key making the key available in comments field. Go to traktor, check consistency on files, comment field now contains key in traktor. Win
When you have mixed in key opened, I think there is within the software a tab called something like connect to my software (it actually doesn’t do it) but it tells you how to. I don’t have the software right in front of me but I think it’s there somewhere.
