NAMM 2012 Predictions for Serato/Rane

NAMM 2012 Predictions for Serato/Rane

1st: Rane 58, a 2 ch Rane 68 look alike.
2nd: Bridge/SL-Video for Itch
3nd: SSL 2.4 (midi out for LED, advance midi functions, day & nite mode
4th: Bridge 2.0
5th: SL-Video 2.0
6th: Rane Midi controller (long shot)
7th: SSL & Itch becoming one (very long shot)

Been on Itch for just a few days, but could definitely say that I would love to see the Bridge already!

To be completely honest, being a Traktor/CDJ guy up to this point, I haven’t paid any attention over the last year or so and thought that this was a done deal already. I was surprised to find out that wasn’t the case!

That’s a given. Got called Christmas Eve…

Rane need to be an isolator unit and MIDI controller, fo’sho’.

I called it after NAMM 2011, the RANE booth was very hush hush about the TTM-57SL life. I asked about dual usb, or a 3rd empath or AUX getting the SP-6 routed and I just got the o’really, how do you know look.

crossing my fingers on a numark V6… or at the very least a decent offering for itch that has discrete outputs that doesnt weigh 15 pounds a unit.

If something is released that’s between a Kontrol X1 and Numark V7, is portable and not too expensive, I’m the one who instantly is gonna buy it:stuck_out_tongue:

I hope the ditch the parallel wave forms and put them next to each other. Would be nice if they put in a Traktor style phase meter to.

There are multiple views available, Traktor style, vertical/parallel, another one I never use…

**Also, I have heard rumors on a new mixer. That is all.

Do not feed the troll!!! LOL

  1. New Rane Mixer
  2. SSL 2.4
  3. Itch update — maybe. The last update is still in Beta. Although Video IS next. No mention of Bridge just yet.
  4. New Vestax Itch controller. For sure. Replacement for the VCI-300

its probably just dude fucking with itch going into ableton, but part of me feels like this might be some preNAMM marketing for the bridge for itch. time will tell

I will not be interested in Serato’s products until they combine SSL and ITCH into one program that will work across a variety of hardware. I imagine they’ll have to do this at some point…

I think having Intro makes that a logical choice, but it doesn’t always seem as If Serato works that way.

Sorry, I couldn’t resist.

When I first read it, i said to myself WTF???

Then I looked up, saw your screen name and got a chuckle. Good one.

If Itch is upgraded to support video will it be free? As Serato offered free software updates for life with the ns6 I purchased in June.

Video in Serato is a plug-in that your purchase. That’s how it works with Scratch Live. I would assume it works the same — no one really knows right now.

well the video plug in is on sale until JAN 19th… hmmmmm coincidence? I THINK NOT

it already does, Serato folder lets you music, playlist, cue points transfer between both programs.

I’d like to fire up my Twitch controller, load up a couple tracks, mash em up, then toss a record onto a turntable and start scratching on a third deck. That’d be ace.
Then turn on the Bridge and fire off some loops…:eyes:

I’d also like to have a go at Kate from “Lost”

she was hawt.
