Think theres a post down alittle about this as well, definitely a good thing for serato users - also I prefer large sturdy faders, I’ve had way too many knobs and sliders break off on me because they were flimsy. Also the que point additions on the sides look really useful, I still want a xone4d if only it wasn’t so much $$
$3,200?..I mean dont get me wrong, it’s bad ass, but christ lol. Im guessing store price will be around the $2,500 mark or so. Which still puts it in the league of a DJM-1000 or Xone V6/4D. It’s logical I guess, since its aimed at a club installation setting. I’m not so sure how many places will adopt this though over the standard DJM-800 or Xone 92.
No dude you were right with your initial gasp at the price.
Dont nobody tell me that that mixer is worth $3,200. How can it be.
It might the the dogs dangly bits but jees. First the stoopid Pioneer CDJ2000 price and now this .
knuck knuck Hello Serato wakey wakey … World Recession !!!
What can i say great looking mixer.. But rane are just catching up with the rest i mean 4 decks are already standard on traktor u can have ehm with vdj too. And i cant say this will become a standard club install.. But i must say rane equipment is top notch build quality..
the thing that i don’t like bout the 4 decks is u gotta have a 68 mixer if not u cannot use the 4 deck feature WTF!! shit traktor u got the audio 8 and a 4 channel mixer and your done for less than 3000 god damn it… now I’m thinking bout it.. plus u gotta buy ableton to use that feature as well damn!! what the hell !! mo money .. hopefully I’m wrong and serato changes that they should have done 2 midi decks and 2 regular decks and u can change through them but thinking bout the sl3 u can only use 3 the sl 1 2 if I’m correct with what i read…
i dont think its catching up so much as broadening horizons. You have to understand with the TTM56/57, and the empath series even, Rane has been very directed toward scratch djs. nowadays with more and more creative styles and technologies more and more scratch guys want to be able to do 3/4 deck mixing but still have the elements of cutting involved but with extra channels, hardware effects, cue points etc. Rane just realizes that eventually one day even the hardcore scratch dj will desire more out of his/her mixer.
@ Karlos Santos, yeah what the fuck man $3200 is insane!
Also noticed that you need 2 USB ports to use 4 decks on it… because just one isn’t enough for 4-channels of audio?! (that is the biggest confusion for me…)
