Need some advice and help.
Hello I am somewhat new to using production software. Right now I have Massive, Maschine, and Traktor pro 2. Mostly i was wondering if anyone knows of some good tutorials on how to learn more about the specifics of Masssive and maschine, or just some tips and advice would be great to.
As much as I hate saying this: just google it.
On Youtube there are tons of Massive tutorials and NI have some good videos for Maschine starters on their channel.
So far that’s what I have been doing for alot of the basic and regular functions in both programs. Mainly the only one I have been having trouble with is finding more on stuff with Massive. There are many tutorials on how to create specific sounds or effects in Massive im looking for one that explains the how and why you would use a certain envelope, or tweak something a certain way. More so of an in depth view of Massive would be nice.
Google is good, but if you are like me and prefer something a bit more structured and sequenced I would look at a Iphone (maybe android not sure though) app called NI Tutorials. For 10 dollars you learn basically all there is to know about the program. Yes its on your phone but that is why its cheap as opposed to online sources, like
this is more expensive (40$) I personnally took a similar lesson taught by Kid Massive and learned alot. If you dont wanna spend any money at all youtube is the way. Also playing around with the synth in your own time is one of the best ways to learn any program.
Read the manual !!!
No but seriously, the tutorials are good to get you going but you are gonna have a hard time finding good in depth free tutorials. For that kind of stuff you usually have to reach into your wallet or… read the manual and practice.
