NEW DJ HELP! Trying to set up headphones in Traktor Duo

I’m new to DJing and I’m trying to set up my headphones with Traktor DUO using the Numark Mixtrack Pro but I can’t seem to get my audio outputs right. I’m only using a single amplifier to play my music but I can’t get the tracks to only play on my headphones. Can anyone help me ASAP please? Thanks!

Have you gone through the setup wizard?

Yea I’ve gone through it already but it doesn’t work properly for me since traktor isn’t the default program for te mixtrack pro controller

Traktor > Preferences > Output Routing:

Ouput Monitor: L: 3: Out 3
R: 4: Out 4

Output Master: L 1: Out 1
R 2: Out 2

hey im i have the same problem but it doesnt let me select output monitor 3 and 4? what do i do?

Are you using the Mixtrack Pro or the Mixtrack?

And you’ve defiantly selected the mixtrack pro soundcard in the audio set up and not your laptops soundcard?

mixtrack pro and Traktor LE Audio Configuraton

Ive been having a similar problem and wondered if anyone can help. Im trying to listen to the audio from Deck A through my laptop (ie what everone else hears) but wanting to hear the audio from what im trying to cue in Deck B but I just cant figure it out? Do you need to run audio from the outputs on the back of the mixtrack to an external amp to be able to do this or is it possible through your laptop?

You need to either plug the main speakers into the output on the back of the Mixtrack Pro and use its onboard soundcard, or create an aggregated sound device (using ASIO4ALL in windows or Audio Midi setup in OSX) to combine your laptop’s sound card with the controller’s.

The easiest way is just to plug into the controller’s master out.

I have plugged into the master out on the mix track and into the mic port on the laptop but still get no sound through the lap top, checked all the sound setting and everything is turned on and up. Have been using asio4all like you say to try and combine my laptop and the mix tracks sound card but still nothing, its a complete mystery. Im wondering if I need to buy a usb line in port for my laptop?

I’m not quite sure what you’ve done. Your setup should be:

Mixtrack Pro plugged into laptop via USB.
Speakers plugged into master out of MTP.
Headphones plugged into Headphone port of MTP.

Traktor prefs > audio setup > audio device, select MTP.
Output routing > internal, Master out: 1&2, Monitor out: 3&4.

Sorry for the late reply have not been at my computer for a couple of days, thanks for the help turns out id not noticed I didnt click on the mixtrack pro LE in the set up like I thought I had so it was not running the programme properley. cheers

Still NoT working

I have mixtrak pro hooked to laptop
Mixtrak Output to speakers
Audio setup/ audio devices/ MixTrack Pro / (SELECTED)
Output Routing …I only get to select “MIXTRACK PRO L”
“MIXTRACK PRO R”
I can hear from the speakers just fine…I just want to be able to cue …
THANKS IN ADVANCE …GOTTA A BIG GIG COMMING …NEED HELP FAST…

sounds like it could be a driver problem… PC or mac?
