New swedish house mafia track is humongous!!!

Just heard it on radio 1 and managed to find it on youtube with pete tong yapping over it. I’m predicting it’s going to be one of those “tunes of the summer” :stuck_out_tongue:

House <3 <3 <3

Now that’s some hot stuff right there. Thanks for the heads up!

Not for me, wouldn’t touch this with a 10ft pole. Well produced, but just way to “epic” sounding and not enough of a groove.

Here’s my pick for a massive summer tune.

I hope the album version will have a nice hard hitting bass

Hard to picture that one setting The Big Room alight at peak time. Both tracks are good, but you’re really comparing apples to oranges. Each one has a place in the fruit salad…

they dropped this at Ultra…and it shook the place!!!

This is a bad ass track.

Yeah been watching some of the vids of them playing it out, totally designed to murder dance floors :smiley::smiley:

On a side note they all seem to be getting a bit tubby :stuck_out_tongue: A bit too much free booze me thinks :stuck_out_tongue:

Superb!! That’s gonna cause major damage to many a dancefloor!

Totally agree with you Mr.Nicklebe, it’s guaranteed to be one of the big tunes this summer.

It’s been doing the business big time actually, much like La Mezcla or Caminando did last year. Luciano and Richardo have been hammering it just to name a few, and getting great response as well.

I see La Tulipe doing more damage in Ibiza than the Swedish Mafia One

Summer tunes for Dark rooms, winning combination!

I’m going to have to go with the SHM on this one…with a landslide

Going to side with Fatlimey on this one. That track you posted is a totally different style. It sounds like background music to me. I’m not a fan of slow progressive house like that even if it does have a ‘groove’.

As i said originally the swedish house mafia track is designed for big room dance floor killing and that’s exactly what it’s going to do (in my humble opinion). That other track isn’t really for peak time playing (in my humble opinion again). Unless you’re at a beach side bar or something…

They should change their name to the Swedish Trance Mafia. This pisses me off. This ain’t house man. This is electro-trance. I am sick of going to Beatport and other sites and wasting my time sifting through the HOUSE genre and 80% isn’t house. If you Electro heads are so creative make up a new genre. House has groove and soul.

Dude, I would call that “Club House”

Aoki dropped this on friday. It didnt fit with the rest of his set (mostly bmore beat). It kinda killed the groove for me honestly.

This is definitely a bit more trancy, but most of there stuff definitely falls under house…I think its about time for this again…http://techno.org/electronic-music-guide/

Thanks for the chart. I’d rather use my ears. That “ONE” track ain’t house.

2 minutes of ‘waaah waah waaaaaah’ and then 2 more minutes of just “wah bum waaah bum” isnt house music.
Its the sound me crying after my anus has collapsed after a curry.

Each to his own and all that.

Haha loverocket relax! I posted that chart as a JOKE clearly, after I agreed that the track really isn’t ‘house’ music…but it was a dumb original comment suggest they change their name, which may have also been a light hearted comment, either way loverocket you took my response way to seriously, we need to all be friends…please? hahaha

I would have to say that this track is seriously underwhelming. “Leave the world behind” was so much better. I really don’t understand how SHM could mix that in to the peak of their mix, nor could I understand how anyone else could. Although epic sounding, it lacks a hook that will really make it great. It really needs something akin to “Put em high” or “Finally” or even like their previous hit “Leave the world behind.” It really need a phrase or something for the crowd to latch on to.

+1 for loverocket’s comment…

The House genre has become so diluted as of late. Beatport’s Deep House section also makes me wonder who’s categorizing the releases. The sad thing is, up and coming DJs are believing it and calling this stuff House.

There should be a House Music Preservation Council or something… I nominate Louie Vega as the president.

oh, and for reference, here’s some House for ya… please have a listen…
