NI iPad app..

uhh yeah..

Even if it is a prep app a la rekordbox I’m sure it will be well recieved.

im half assuming it will be like touch osc, but maybe with the benefit of seeing waveforms etc…

I’d be happy with this, it would beat sitting at the computer going through all my tracks before a gig.

yeah ! setting playlist, hot cues and grids would be nice !

Hard to say what it’s gonna be really.
NI must have seen how popular tablets have become so they have to release a DJ app eventually, so it’s possible.

I don’t see the point of an app for prepping tracks personally - copying tracks, settings etc. is a pain - I prep on my pc, dj on my macbook and it does my head in sometimes. Plus you would need lots of space on the tablet for track collection etc.

It could be some control software, that would be easy for them to do, but as others have said - just having the browser on there would be cool.

Id like to be able to route a maschine display to the ipad, whilst keeping the laptop display for Traktor, Instead of having both up on the one screen, like im Fiddling around with at the moment.

There are a few apps already that let you use your iPad as a secondary display via wifi.

Lets hope more vendors start supporting the DIAL protocol for secondary displays! Netflix and YouTube's DIAL promises to be open alternative to AirPlay

This would be a huge welcome for audio software.

Excellent! If NI Have there own version of something like this for Maschine/traktor intergration round the corner that would suit me to the ground. Ive yet to get an Ipad, as i never really felt the need for one for DJ’ing or Fun, but as im experimenting with new setups having one would be a pretty useful tool that can be a blank slate for different things as i go on.

i hope it is iTraktor, but betting on a control surface.. prep app would be really nice..

hopefully they dont abandon the app like they did with imaschine

This is just speculation based off ni leak last year for the f1 but I don’t think we’ll see any news until march. NI leaked the first f1 video mid January and released the shiftee video in mid march. The iPad app was leaked around the same timeframe.

So far, there’s been two posts about Qbert and BLOND:ISH being “in touch with the groove”. It’s sounding more like a full Maschine app to me, but I guess it could still be a reference to Traktor depending on how you interpret that. Thoughts???

Well all the teaser photos are coming out on Traktor’s Facebook page so I’d say its more traktor related.
