No echo effect in traktor 1.2.4?

No echo effect in traktor 1.2.4?

What the hell is this! I just went to map an echo/freeze effect to my controller and noticed that an echo effect option doesn’t exist! anybody find this? or am i just being a noob again?

the delay=echo

Effect Delay p2 button ON would be your freeze effect

nope, tried it already

with the delay i’ve only got filter, feedback and rate

i’ve played with those 3 parameters and i was able to make it do something similiar, just not nearly as fluid as the actual echo/delay effect

when did they rename this? the actual frz button to feedback button? i don’t like the way it sounds, but hey, it works!

What about with some heavy reverb?

Dude - “feedback”, “rate”, etc are the names of the knob controls. The button controls don’t have labels in 4 FX unit mode.

Trust us. Delay IS echo. Echo is what Ean calls it, just a convention. The effect in Traktor is Delay, or Delay T3. If things don’t sound right to you, you just haven’t dialed it in enough. Keep tweakin

technically iirc, delay is prefader and echo is post fader. practically speaking they’re the same thing. ean calls it echo, traktor calls it delay, it’s all the same thing.

after much testing and parameter tweaking and realiztion (mostly realiztion), I have concluded that the feedback button is in fact the freeze button, but above all, I have concluded, yet again, that I am a noob. :open_mouth:

ughhh. thanks for the help dudes. man do I feel stupid…

The buttons dont have names in 4fx mode as said before by zac. The names are for the rotaries.

Add more ‘Delay’ or ‘Delay T3’ for max fist pump!

make sure you have enough gel in your hair or Gino the Ginny will come after you!

fist pump!

what the hell haha

There you go, RESULT!

(it could offcourse be the side effects of dutch export too… )

that made my day  Love the word ‘fist pumpin’’ even though it sounds kinda weird lol
epic picture

Nah echo and delay arent the same thing cuz delay gets killed with volume drop and echo doesnt.

They are the same thing. What you’re thinking of is the difference between inserted fx and send fx. Inserted fx are in-line with the channel, so if you cut the volume, the effect is cut too. Send fx run on a separate bus and are fed back into the audio stream post-fader (if you choose). That’s why you hear a tail if you cut the channel volume. Try running Traktor in external mode with send fx enabled with a mixer that can handle a send bus. You hear “delay” when you cut the volume. Delay=Echo=chunk of audio being repeated. That’s all it is.

Perfect explanation

You guys are so used to apply post FX of the mixers… in traktor you can apply pre-fader FX
The last move of DJ Craze video was a delay/echo freeze with fader volume down
