*im obviously not talking about the IBM thinkpad, but the one to the right of it.. silver, no touchpad, running windows media player… *

I don’t think that’s a laptop. It looks like a USB monitor, but it’s got the power cord looking thing on it and stuff.

I will look around, but I think it might actually be a small tablet computer?

thats exactly what i assumed, then after a closer look it had some dedicated buttons on the side of the screen, something you dont usually see on separate monitors.

bumppp.

Most monitors actually have buttons on them for things like brightness, contrast, and power. <.<

And I have /never/ seen a laptop wish a VGA port on the monitor.

That being said, it could be a slate/tablet pc?

when i said dedicated buttons, i was thinking the buttons were media buttons.. play, pause, mail, internet..

i didnt notice your location was Maryland? what part do you live round?

Just south of BWI alongish rt 170

oh, cool. i live a little south west of you. do you gig often?

Heh. I’ve got a weekly radio show at UMBC (where I go to school), but that’s about as far out of the bedroom as I get. If there’s a goth/industrial scene in my area, I’ve yet to find it.

looks like in all in one type computer of some sort, i was thinking it is something like this, expect older cause not as thin.

@Charo: Yeah, that’s def. a probability. I’ve been seeing a lot of those types of computers recently.

@charo&segfault

my setup consists of ableton and 4+ controllers, i really need to get a somewhat portable laptop/all-in-one pc; i need a big screen size, but the portability as well- and of course the processing speed.

That’s an IBM Lenovo, either a T60, T61, or P60 or P61.

(have these at my job)

i noted that i WASN’T talking about the IBM, but the silver all-in-one/notebook. thanks anyways.

If you’re looking for a laptop/all in one pc, though, it’d be hard to go wrong with a ThinkPad. The things are sturdy as hell and all sorts of customizable.

you know, i considered it- i like how tough it is, how i can make it custom, only thing is.. they are limited to 14.1 inch screens on most models. im looking for 16+
