Novation Dicers and Traktor Pro Mapping Help

Novation Dicers and Traktor Pro Mapping Help

I have the Novation Dicer plugged in, and the Traktor mapping downloaded and imported but although the setting LED light, none of the controls work. Additionally, the mapping doesn’t show any assignments set.

Best,
Wade

Advice?

Just to confirm, you’ve imported one of the mappings from here:

http://www.novationmusic.com/support/dicer

& followed the instructions:

  1. select the “Controller Manager” tab
  2. In the Device Setup click “Add…” select import
  3. this will open a browser where you can navigate to the DicerTraktor.tsi file or the DicerTraktorScratch.tsi file, (the scratch one does not include transport & browsing control)
  4. insure that the Dicer is selected in drop down menus for “Dicer”, 'In-Port" & “Out-Port”
  5. close the Traktor Preferences window

What version of Traktor are you using?

I’m using Traktor Scratch Pro V1.2.1 and I followed those exact steps, still none of the mappings appear although the lights on the device illuminate.

I should also mention that Traktor detects the midi, as the light illuminates when I press various buttons on the Dicer.

your using an out of date version.

updating will fix the problem.

im assuming its cracked. i love this kind of poetic justice.

It’s not cracked- it’s from a friend

Oh well, if it’s legit then you can just run the NI Service Center and download the latest version. Newer .TSI files often won’t run on older versions of Traktor.

It works! - Updating fixed it

enjoy

i’m having the exact same problem. I updated my Traktor Scratch Duo then i’m importing the mapping tsi file that i got from DJ TechTools.com and still nothing is happening. I’m getting so frustrated.:rage:

i’m running audio dj 4 with control vinyl.

any help would be greatly appreciated!:open_mouth:

the djtt mapping uses 4 effects units. i dont think duo supports 4 effects units, so thats why it wont work

Arghhhhhhhhhhhh! hahaha

is there one for duo?

thnx for the reply

i dont think so. just make your own! ill be doing that too (but i have TP)

yeah, last night when I was going to bed I was deciding that I’ll just “nerd it up” the next day and just map it myself.

I was also thinking of returning the Dicers and try to figure how I can map out my Akai 20 Drum machine as a controller. i think its possible.

lets see what happens.
thanks for the help!

I am also having mapping problems with pro.

yeah dude, i pretty much went back to guitar center to return the dicers. luckily they had the x1 kontrol in stock, so i forked over another hundred for it.

i shouldn’t be spending money right now, but money comes and goes.

but yeah anyway,
I’m in love with the X1.
