Numark TTUSB Turntables

Numark TTUSB Turntables

Are they any good? I couldn’t find anything searching the forums. They are the cheapest around here. I don’t need the soundcards but they don’t sell any without them.

I know they are belt drive (I don’t scratch) and I’ll be better picking up some Techs or Stantons, but these are scarse and prizes are mad ($550 each beaten to death 1210mk2 or $1850 for each mk5).

I’ll be using them for beatmatching practice only since carting a pair of TTs on a motorbike is quite bitchy (or plainly insane) and that’s the main reason I can’t justify the pricetag of better turntables with my current setup (if you don’t consider gearwhoring:stuck_out_tongue:).

Any input is more than welcome

Edit: STANTON T52B-AR are another option

Don’t waste your $ on belt driven Numark TTusb’s. Or any other belt driven deck. After a bit of use the belt gets loose and your mixes go off beat.

I would go with a set of Numark TTXusb’s. Those decks are pure BEAST MODE!! Check eBay. You can pick up a set for under $400. Make sure they are TTXusb. The TTx’s are the first gen of these decks. They had a few problems that got sorted out with the TTXusb model.

I’ve had a 2 sets of 1200’s,
Vestax PDX-2000’s &
Numark TTXusb’s

Truth be told I preferred the TTX’s. Things are built like tanks. Ask any turntablist and they will tell you about these bad boys.

yeh, don’t waste your money. I had cheap decks a while back and watching the BPM fluctuate in Traktor using timecode was ridiculous, like ±1% which ruins beatmatching.

What about the Stanton T92 or T62B? Both direct drive and seem to get decent reviews, although I didn’t dig to deep.

$750 a piece for the 92’s, the 62’s never reached this shores:rage: FML

So basically belt drives are a no-go even for home use, right? I know the belt stretches but have no clue how long it takes to do so (remember I won’t scratch)

torque is an issue with belt drives as well, it’s harder to make precise and fast adjustments.

I’ll save and get something decent then. Thx for the input everyone
