One more time NYC DJTT Meetup?

Hey guys

Just had a quick and productive meetup with DJ Rob Lowe from these parts to discuss my mapping and TPro setup in his search to buy what’s best for him.

So, well, there are a bunch of us around NYC/NJ areas, and I figure it might be a good idea to get us all together at some sort of bar, get a bit liquored up and start yelling about Serato and Traktor and NI and the VCI and other various things that we can geek it up about.

So who would be down? I’d say nothing club oriented, don’t want to get distracted by the DJ and start critiqueing. I know a great dive bar on Ave A that has great nachos and cheap beer.

i love nachos… i’m in florida. I was in Philly last week, but i don’t think that will help. sorry.

Not that much, but it’s closer than the people who usually comment, like Tekki and Bento. Other side of the world and all :slight_smile:

I’m always down to meet up with people in the NYC area. I’m always over near St. Marks and A anyways, what bar were you thinking?

Aces and Eights lounge. Every Friday and Saturday they have beer pong tourneys, so it gets kinda crowded, but the manager is really cool and the bartenders are really sweet girls who hook you up if you’re good to em.

Also has my favorite vodka.

Oh and I’ll invite some other controllerists as well, they use Xponent/Torq but these guys are fantastic!

JesC, I need to plan a trip to LA so I can get drunk and make a fool of myself at the Little Cave while you’re spinning MJ 'n shit.

@JD: It doesn’t have to be a weekend. I mean, I can’t stay out very late on a work night, but the bars would be a little more relaxed, to say the least.

It is cheap to fly to Brazil. Like I said, trying to convince my job to send me there for a few months to our Sao Paulo office. Would rock!

Man, i dont think we could make it thru the night, I got a new drink special on sundays…$5 Jager Bombs and they dont pour light at this bar.

I’d drop by a DJTT meet up. I’m in Jersey City, right across the river. It might be cool to have it somewhere we could all just hang out and take turns spinning, if such a place is out there.
