Agreed, that’s why I was so skeptical about picking up my Novation SL49 from there. However it turned out to be a blessing in disguise! Brand new novation (worked perfectly - I even got to open it at the Starbucks we met up at) for $340 when it retails for $499 + tax (8.75%) so add another $50 or so.

P.S. anyone have experience of buying long distance on craigslist? I know it’s a bit dodgy… but I’ve done the DJTT thing of asking for a picture of the stuff with my name and the date on a piece of paper…

I would not recommend it, since you don’t have any buyer protection like eBay provides. If you want to buy long distance I would suggest asking the guy who is selling it to you to put it up through eBay. Tell him you’ll foot the $3 or whatever charge to throw it up on eBay and you would like to pay through PayPal.
Do NOT pay with a money transfer.
