djm 850 + traktor + x1 + spectra ? best way to use them together ?
Connect your Laptop to the DJM-850 by USB. You’ll be able to mix 4-decks using the 850. Suggest 3-Track Decks, and a Remix Deck (Spectra grid will launch teh Remix Cells if you get a Spectra Mapping).
Connect the X1 to the laptop, by USB.
Connect the MF Spectra to the laptop by USB.
The X1 will map itself to Traktor.
The Spectra will need some work - maybe download a mapping from this very site.
If I were you, I’d leave the Specra OUT OF THE SET-UP for a couple of weeks. Get used to using a 2 deck set up (or a 4 deck set-up) with the X1 and the DJM-850, then, when you’ve got that down, change 1 of the decks to a remix deck that you can use the Spectra with.
OR, find a mapping to use the spectra as an FX controller for the standard 2 or 4-deck setup.
It really helps if you know what you want to do before you ask questions like this, mate…
Or, you can always use Spectra as a night lamp

use the DJM 850 as your traktor interface with its USB port. plug your cd decks and turntables into the DJM 850 and use time code cd’s or records. it will work with your computer. there are a lot of FX on the DJM 850 you might want to try before you plug all that other stuff in.
Just leave it plugged in for 30 minutes, instant mood lighting
