Whats up all!! Qq—looking to make my own music and remixes. What is the best software for that? Pro Tools, Ableton, Fl Studio? What are the differences in these?
FYI I use Traktor S4 and maschine. Thanks for the help!!
Maschine within Ableton or any other DAW would do the trick. Ableton offer a lot of interesting feature and you can also use it with your Maschine controller… not 100% ideal but workable.
In the past I used Acid Pro and I liked it.
To be honest, there’s no such thing as “the best”, try few demo and make your decision.
If you already own a Mac, Logic Pro is by far the most cost effective option. But it’s all preference. IMHO the best 2 are logic and pro tools by a wide margin with ableton coming in a distant third. Button should really watch videos and read tutorials and pick the one that seems to make the most sense.
One thing I’ll warn you to be careful of: Reason.
It’s really good and sounds great. A lot of people use it and apart from being kinda hokey (you have to patch virtual cables) it’s actually awesome. Except that it’s a completely closed system. You can’t buy plugins for it of any kind and are kinda stuck with what you get. That’s kind of okay because a lot of it is pretty good and they have a software interface called ReWire that gives you 16 audio a d 16 midi channels into reason and 64 audio channels out of it…but it’s sequencer still sucks and I you don’ like the sound of their SSL desk modelling, you have to rewire it into something else. I haven’t really do e any critical listening, but I’ll bet it’s SSL modelling isn’t great. Plus, you already own maschine which is a better drum machine and sequencer than the stuff that comes with reason.
And you don’t actually need anything but maschine unless you’re doing vocals or real instruments. Just get a soft synth and when you can hear the flaws, better processing plugins.
And go ahead and get a reverb that doesn’t suck. NI sucks at making reverbs.
