Promoter from Hell
So i played a new gig last night playing Dance and electro and the promoter told me to finish 15 mins early so he could go on? 
His attitude was awful and i think he just wanted more attention!
I wont be playing there again lets put it that way!!
Any one else got stories about the promoters at gigs?
yup, let him play, get paid and let him make a full of himself, its not worth fighting or going down to the promoters level.
Don’t understand why this sometimes bothers people so much, I have often been asked my promoters if I fancy just cutting off 15 minutes early so someone else can have a go. I don’t mind if its up and coming DJ’s and I still get paid my normal amount.
The only time it irritates me is if we are on limited time (e.g my slot is only 1 hour long). But then again most of my sets are 4 hours so the break is nice for me.
Be nice to your boss. Unless you start being a promoter yourself you’re gonna have to get along with 'em.
