Putting together a Dicso/House night, any track recomendations would be awsome!
So yeah, im working on a 3 hour set im doing for a club night me and some friends are putting together.
My set is going to consist of some deeper funky house mixed with some older disco.
I have all the house covered, and I have tons of original disco tracks, but I an in search of some really good funky edits.
There is ALOT of really crappy remixes on you tube and soundcloud, and hard to find quality stuff.
Looking edits like this…
New Stuff is good too, this one really rocks the floor
Anything you all could recommend??
Thanks!!
Have a listen through a lot of the Late Nite Tuff Guy stuff. He does a lotta edits and originals that should be up the right alley.

Anything from Late Nite Tuff Guy. I wasn’t partal to some of his releases, but love this one: (Tuff Cut #004 )
based off of Chic’s Thinking of You & I Want Your Love
and

are included on that release.
Crazy P’s also got some really cool stuff for that type of party.
Not really a disco sample, but it’s a great tune with an R & B sample, would probably fit in with your set although it’s a bit more deep:
(this release also has a cut from Grooveman Spot as well)
Finally, check out some stuff on the MB Edits label.
This one isn’t bad, but I prefer the other side of the record:

which is a remix of the Music Sounds Better With You by Stardust without The Bomb samples.
Yeah some can be hit and miss. I love this one the most…

A vaguely related side note LNTG is an alter ego of HMC (old 90s Acid/Techno producer who’s biggest track is probably Phreakin or LSD)
Easily the best DJ to come out of my home town. His techno sets are still to die for, that said getting a little rare now his alter ego is taking off.

Im with Karlos. Reflex is a genius. Only problem is his stuff is often only available for a short time. Todd Terje is amazing too.
Another LNTG masterpiece.

Fantastic re edit of Billie Jean but its record only available from Juno Records. Listening to some of Greg Wilsons mixes on Soundcloud would also be a good idea.
