Question for you S4 owners…

Do any of you have an NI Audio4 or Audio 8? And if so, can you use the S4 as a controller ONLY and output the audio through your soundcard to an external mixer? I’m thinking of buying the S4 & Traktor scratch Pro and using my current mixer.

Yes you can use any soundcard with the KS4 but there is no external mixing mode so you would only have one stereo pair from the soundcard as you will be mixing in internal mode.

Im not certain but i imagine external mode will return when the DVS update comes out (no date).

BUT, if I use the Traktor Scratch Pro software with the S4 hardware then I would be able to send out 4 separate stereo channels to a mixer, right?

If you use the Kontroller as a Midi controller then yes. I think so..?
Thats a bit of a curve ball to hit me with at 4:36am :wink:
