Questions on the all new Pioneer DJ CDJ-TOUR1 + DJM-TOUR1

Hello Everyone,
I am planning to buy my first gear. I was preparing to get the NXS2 CDJS and the NXS DJM900 mixer.
But now i see that pioneer is launching and giving a push to their new gear CDJ-TOUR1 + DJM-TOUR1.
Should i wait till Pioneer releases this in my country?
Do you think it is worth the wait to buy this or should i continue with my NXS players and mixer. I really quite liked the larger screen option that they have given to DJ’S now
I do know that these new products are twice the price of the current Pioneer gear.
I’m a little confused.
Can someone provide me some good suggestions on buying the product that would stick to me for the next 5 years at least.

If you want the CDJ-TOUR series, plan on taking out a second mortgage.

Very few organizations on the planet need that tour gear…

… buy your first gear?

You do have experience DJing right? I would suggest trying a controller before you dive into the CDJ + DJM combo just to make sure you enjoy DJing.

And they cost more than twice the 900s.

I wouldn’t wait for the Tour’s. The 2000’s are plenty of CDJ for anyone.

Now even Richard Branson is DJing. And trolling DJTT. smh

I literally cant wait to see the home setup pictures of TOUR gear from cashed up yobs.

Nonsense - Branson has owned more audio gear in his lifetime that half the peeps on here put together, and knows a thing or two about music.

Its obviously Zuckerberg

Branson recorded Culture Clubs first single on his barge when they signed to Virgin.

It just depends how much you really like playing Solitaire. For me it’s a no-brainer (clearly worth it).

is that why they call it multi deck support??

And Mike Oldfield in a Castle if memory serves me right.

Just found a great use for those jog wheels and Link

If you are thinking of having this equipment at home you are wealthy enough to not need the internet’s advice.

I suppose it’s worth asking, if you bought say the DJM Tour-1 and connected your CDJ 2000 nexus 2’s to it, would you get the full compatibility of the screen on the DJMT1 working or do you have to buy the CDJ Tour1’s for all that to work? Interesting to know as I agree for a home set up this full “Tour” lot is ridiculous but still having the one screen on the DJM and using normal CDJ’s would be quite cool and save a fair whack of cash (relatively)!

That I could agree with if you really had extra money. But I bet Pioneer has made it so only Tour 1s can be used together.

Any chance riders are going to start listing the Tour-1 as T1 and the promoter is going to accidentally get the DJM-T1 instead?

You might as well just run Nexus off a laptop with Rekordbox at that point. You get all the same information, for many thousands of dollars less.

This is logical. Kids with cash don’t use logic.

It makes the PlayDIFFERENTLY mixer look reasonably priced in comparison, I’ll say that much.
