So I’ve been looking for a key detecting software, I’ve used Mixed in Key before but don’t have the funds right now for that, or else I would because it’s far superior.
So…I downloaded Rapid Evolution 2 and it crashed my mac. MY MAC! I tried to key 9 songs at once, something I thought would not be very hard, and everything froze up and ‘quit unexpectedly’ then I couldn’t open up any other programs and couldn’t shut down. I had to hard shut down to do anything.
What are the settings I should use? CPU usage, and the speed vs. accuracy settings?
its been hit and miss for me over time too, but when it works it works great. i think the problem lies more tho in badly encoded files rather the the software being poorly coded.
Same thing happened on my mac JSanch. Froze up the first time I tried it. I tried to get it to work a couple times and said screw it and deleted it. Was worth a try tho.
I see you’re from Denver, I live up in FoCo for school but am moving back to Denver thursday for summer
Thanks for all the help, I’ve seemed to get RE running at the moment. It was just the one time it crashed my mac. I’ve been getting decent results from it, so I guess that’s that.
I have used several versions of RE, in the end I gave up.
It just didnt suit my workflow and had too many niggles setting it up.
Have moved to Trainspotter and couldnt be happier.
It does everything I need and lots of stuff I havnt figured out yet.
How do I get RE to write tags for Traktor? I tried just simply using the ‘write tags’ option, but it comes back saying 0 of 9 tags written or whatever.
RE is arguably more accurate than anything on the market at the moment, but its marginal compared to MiK. MiK is also faster by a considerable margin. So its half of one and half of another
The stability issues of RE can mostly be cured by setting the right amount of virtual memory for java.
