Remember this advice and pas it over.
Whenever you see/sense a strange gas or a smoke, etc.
Get the nearest liquid, -yes your alcoholed drink also works- and throw it into your shirt (mostly on the belly). Then fold it up and cover your nose and mouth, covering the borders with your hands.
Then try to escape in the opposite direction (go to the EXIT if indoors) in a calm and controlled manner.
This will work as a filter to keep your lungs as clean as possible. Most deaths in fires happen by cause of smoke (not by burns) or by hysteric people hurting others on their way out.

I think PD and Riot squads were to blame for this one as the incursion could have been handled better with pepper spray or batons. PLUR
On another note, the PD/Gestappo negligence seems to have been overlooked by local media. But the 51 arrests they made shine through till the dawn. Fucking chaos democracy.

Yo D! it was the 420 Festival what did u expect! Nothing but a bunch of underage Kandy kids rolling. They did have a nice dj line up…but man really why call it the 420 Festival. Its like putting a big ass sign for the cops say where gonna have weed here man!
I was considering going the the 420 festival cause my nefew can’t get into any of the clubs but this was an all age event basically. Now I’m glad that I didn’t. I’ve been hit with the tear gas and OC spray, and I would have to say that you are lucky that they didn’t use OC foggers instead. I would rather bathe in tear gas than get hit with OC again.

It’s not just LA, in Dayton, OH a few years back i was playin a party and in came the tear gas for what seemed like no reason at all. Then when i was packing up to leave one of the assholes maced me. He did eventually apologize, after i threatened to press charges.

In the early days of UK rave there weren’t much OTT police action - at the start the police couldn’t really do anything as the ravers were always one step ahead - mobile phones with last minute meeting places. Although there were plenty of soundsystems that were shut down, mostly there wasn’t as much agro - the cops were a bit more respectful and ravers were usually too blissed out on doves to cause any trouble.
Take Castle Morton - that was a fucking awesome rave but the cops didn’t have any choice but to let it continue -there were 25,000 people there and there was no legislative precedent so the cops couldn’t move fast enough. After that came the Criminal Justice bill and the rest is history really. Cops tend to contain these things, seize soundsystems and then let the crowd naturally disperse.
In Manchester at the squat parties at Otterburn close they tended to be afraid of going in as the hippies outnumbered the cops and it was more or less restricted to that squat.
I’m not sure if CS gas is legal for the cops to use here. At the same time - there are few people at an early Rave who would have challenged the cops - it was more a case of “fair cop guvnor”, maybe a bit of argy bargy but not the same mass anti-police sentiment there is now.
I would have sued… thats beyond bull shit.
Yeah, i was thinking about it. But cops only make like 30-40k a year, and god knows the department would have said it was his actions so it wasn’t their fault. No since in ruining the guys life over one mistake right.
