Rear USB port - CDJ 2000
The rear link ports on my CDJ 2000s are rubbish.
Had one replaced when in warranty, days after originally purchasing it.
The second one has now gone and I was wondering if anyone has replaced one themselves?
Just an update on this.
I bought the ethernet port part off of eb*y and borrowed a friends soldering iron, attempted to remove the broken one and insert the new one but it hasn’t worked.
Looks as though I may have damaged the board which, having searched for it, costs £299 to replace.
All because Pioneer supply substandard ports on the 2000s…
you say USB port in first post, then ethernet port in second, which one is it?
I know the club I work for has had to have 3 ethernet ports replaced on CDJ2000’s in the venue. after plugging & unplugging the jack for different DJ setups multiple times a week the ports become loose and then can potentially drop connection if you move the cable even the slightest amount. I have worked with the 2000nexus once and those ports seemed to have been improved
Yeah sorry, the title is meant to say ethernet/link port but I can’t amend it now.
But it is the ethernet port that is broken.
