reconstructing “fx frequency” from djm900 nxs2 with traktor

Sup boys

Just saw the review of the djm900 nxs2 and I like the part where you can assing an effect on a specific frequency

I’d like to know if it would be easily mappable & whats the difference with the rmx 1000

Cheers !

/e: I guess its working just as Stewe’s rmx1000 mapping right?

i.e Duplicate track from deck A to deck D, synch it and play it

pressing “low” would cut the hi & mid from deck A
pressing “mid” would cut the low & hi from deck A
pressing “hi” would cut the low & mid from deck A

Beta up

Hey boys

I’ve been working on it, here are my file if you wanna try it !!
Make sure to use the small import button; add>import tsi>import other
TEST DJM900 NXS2 CNTRL R – FINAL.tsi (619 KB)

I mapped it on the Livid CNTRL:R for now. Next post will contain tsi files for Novation Launchpad S and Launchcontrol
I’d like to get some feedback about it; what could be improve, what is missing, what is wrong etc…

Here are the map & colors:

How it’s working:

Select a deck that you wanna duplicate to isolator deck D. Load it. Deck D will be mute until you start playing with iso buttons. I mapped it like this so there is no burst of sound due to duplicated tracks.
You can either isolate 1 frequency at a time (toggle mode) or 2 frequency (direct mode). If you isolate 2 frequency you cannot untoggle it (didnt find out how to do it yet, its a mess), you have to reset it (unkill all EQ deck X and D, plus mute deck D).
There’s not effects mapped yet, tweak them manually for now.

CNTRL:R file update + launchpad S file

Here is the new CNTRL:R file, I fixed some frequency combos problems
TEST DJM900 NXS2 CNTRL R – FINAL.tsi (619 KB)

Here is the launchpad S file

with the map

trabz,
Can you please upload those to MIDIMAPS section instead?

Btw, I’g glad you’re digging the concept
Thanks!

Yes sure, sorry !

Hehe thanks, btw I finished the final version of the mapping, I’ll post it tomorrow or so in the right section.
