Recording your mix inTraktor…

Ive done a mix this afternoon, another practice session on my turntables. Now like a dick i didnt check my settings in the recorder section and i had it set to split the file @ 650mb and now my mix is in 2 parts. Is there any easy way of piecing them together so they are a continuous mix like it would have been if i had changed the setting back upto 2500mb.

I’d say the easiest way would be to just paste em together in a music program like audacity. I’ve occassionally had to do this when screwing up near the end of a mix.

+1 for audacity. Or ableton, but that’s like, you know, expensive.

audacity is perfect for this zoom in as far as possible and just track the next track to were the other ends

+1 on audacity

another +1 for Audacity.

i shall get audacity then lol, can it not be done in garage band?

Also Wave Editor in Nero (not freeware - but not like Ableton Expensive)

Edit - oops - sorry you’re on Mac.

well any DAW is more then capable… I use samplitude for all that stuff

Yes, garage band will work

NB just make sure you can see the wave forms. Basically just but them up together.

its done on audacity, 'twas very simple and easy to do  just exporting it now to my desktop @320kbs quality.

i tried to export 320 outta audacity for the first time last night and kept getting a “cant find mp3 encoding library”

even downloaded that thing it says too, installed. and located… but no dice… help?

it came up with that for me, i clicked on the link for the add on thing and it downloaded and then it just worked for me?

or export as WAV from audacity and convert to mp3 in iTunes
