Rekordbox 3.3.0 Update - lost collection

Hello,

The other day I upgraded to Windows 10 on my laptop and then yesterday I updated my Rekordbox software from 3.2.0 to 3.3.0.

I don’t know if the Windows update is relevant to my problem but I thought it was worth stating, just in case.

Anyway, upon starting Rekordbox I’m greeted by a blank collection list. The most frustrating thing is that as part of the install, I always uninstall the previous version which means I can’t import the collection :disappointed:

Anyone got any ideas of what I can do??

Why doesn’t Rekordbox put the information in the metadate like Traktor does?

Backup your rekordbox library so you can reimport if you go the fresh install route, I know on the Mac version you can do so under the File menu.

As far as I know Rekordbox will write most of the metadata into the .mp3 itself but some of the fields might only be viewable through the software/hardware since it’s stored in the rekordbox cache.
