‘Learn’ MIDI notes sometimes causes CTD. I can avoid it by using it within an almost empty device.

a) Two seperate columns for the two conditions would be a cool thing. I like to be able to sort by condition 1 as well as by condition 2.
b) It would be awesome to be able to mark different commands, including MIDI In/Out assignments, and then change their MIDI channel, for all of them, without changing their actual MIDI-Note.
Anyway, it’s an awesome tool already and a great help in mapping.

I rather plan to somehow abstract the condition handling by combining both conditions into tuples which can be named. This will make it easier to keep track of the conditions (“What does M1=0 mean again?”) and will also abstract their order as it doesn’t matter. What do you all think about that?

Encoder Mode:
- [fix] Encoder modes are now processed and stored correctly.
- Encoder mode is now a devicewide setting, thus moved to device editor pane (only shown for generic midi devices).
- Copy&paste / drag&drop for mappings take encoder modes into account: they are adapted to the target device.
Midi Binding:
- In and Out commands can be mapped at the same time if there is an intersection of valid definitions (e.g. it’s not possible to map a ‘Level Meter’ note to an In command). For generic midi devices this is always possible. For proprietary devices it depends on the note definitions.
- Allow changing channel for various selected notes
- Allow changing note for various selected channels
- Added context menu items for selected channels and notes (as with conditions)

- [fix] Simultaneous MIDI learn of multiple mappings
Devices:
- Added drag&drop between devices. Hovering over a device while dragging selects the device. If there is no device in the target file, an appropriate device is added automatically.
- Added drag&drop for devices: one device at a time within file or between files.
- [fix] Initial mapping selection when switching the selected device.
- [fix] Keep selection of mappings when switching the selected device.
- Added the number of devices to Device list
Advanced Options Menu:
- Added to Mapping Editor
- Added advanced option “Change Assignment”, which changes the selected mappings’ assignment as well as their condition assignments, if all selected mappings have the same assignment beforehand.

Before i write anything else. This tool is already so much better than the editor by NI.
On to the bug list:
- working on factory maps, the checkbox ‘Override Factory Map’ has an inverted display. If it’s checked then it’s actually unchecked and vice versa.
- If i load a map with a ‘relative’ encoder set to 0%, cmdr automatically sets it to 100%. Don’t ask why i would want to have it at 0%. In short, it’s about circumventing an NI bug…
Both have only been tested on a factory map for an s4mk1.

Clear examples:
Lines 3204-3215 (set and delete hotcue) are overrides.
Lines 3244-3263 (map hotcue, excluding sample buttons) are not, as the buttons used [shift and hotcue buttons] must retain their factory functions.

Bug:
The Control Assignments and Values for ‘Deck Size Selector’ are not accurately loaded and stored.
Assignment ‘C&D’ gets loaded and stored as ‘A&B’. Direct Values for the Deck Size also seem to get shuffled and have strange values like ‘4’ instead of ‘Micro’ or ‘Advanced’. The Value ‘Mhz’ seems to be an NI bug though…

Damn, this baby is still working with traktor 2.11 (except I get “uknknown command” for the step sequencer commands) as I was able to use it for mapping the new step sequencer with maschine.
