Replacement crossfader for A&H Xone:4D... stock or innofader?

Replacement crossfader for A&H Xone:4D… stock or innofader?

ok… so I need to replace the crossfader on my Allen & Heath Xone:4D.

i tried scratching and the crossfader isnt cutting properly at each end.

should I go for an Innofader or just stock fader?

audio-technica (A&H official distributor) will sell me a stock crossfader for £71 including vat and postage.
innofader pro is just over twice that price. (price isn’t the issue)

which would be best?

For scratching, you’ll want a nice tight cut-in.

Also, if you buy stock, you MAY need to re-replace in the future. Stock faders aren’t usually made for scratching.

If price really isn’t an issue, and you are definitely gonna hammer that fader with serious scratching, then there really is no argument for NOT buying an Inno.

BUT - if this is your first time scratching, it may be that you just need to get used to that stock fader. Is it nice and loose, but just has a long cut-in? If that’s the case, you can modify the x-fader easily with an old credit card.

But again, if money is not an issue - get an Inno. Problem permanently solved.

it’s the extreme ends of the fader that are not working.

got the fader to the end and the sound would still be there, instead of cut off.

Bin it.

Get an Inno.

You’re gonna want an Innofader Pro2:
