Ripping vinyl using the S4’s inputs??
Can the ins be used for the above?
I’m thinking of selling the audio 8 to fund one of these but will i be missing out if i do?

Yes. You can just record it in Traktor
don’t want to record in traktor. I would like to use it with the likes of sound forge etc … still. Will sound forge see the sound card in the S4 as a useable sound card?

I think what photjojo means is, use the S4 to record a raw .wav file of the tack you want. Then bugger about with the wav file in whatever software package your heart desires …
In answer to your question yes, the S4 will be recognised as a regular sound card.
