Running 2 computers with S4

Hey, first off sorry if this has been answered all ready, I tried to look for it but couldn’t find it. I recently purchased the Traktor Kontrol S4 and have yet to use it…because my old MacBook can’t handle the work load (it’s been my main machine for DJing etc fr like 6 years) it’s been used and abused lol. So I just have this Kontroller sitting there and really want to use it. I have an iMac available to use (studio) and want to install everything on there and atleast be able to practice etc, but I don’t know how that works with the registration and activation of the product. Do I need multiple serial numbers?? Or can I install on 2 computers at 1 time? Any feedback appreciated.

You can install using the same serial 2 times. That means on seperate computers.

That is what I beleive I read. I have never tried it, but I’m sure it’ll work fine.

So installing the program on my studio comp and gigging laptop is not a problem . . . I assume only one can be running at any given time though??

You can run both together at the same time. The activation is based on the number of times you are allowed to activate per serial number rather then limiting how many copies can be run at the same time. There would need to be a server component required to do that - and there isn’t :smiley:

Thank you for the help on this one. Now it’s time to start using my Kontrol S4 for the first time ever. Feel free to check me out online since I will be updating all my accounts (soundcloud,youtube,facebook - all .com/djch3) a lot more now. Until the updates they all have older mixed sets and stuff on them too. Excited to finally actually be joining all of the other DJTT tools members and controlerist out there. 2012 is going to be a good year!
