S4 is skipping
I’m having a problem with my s4. when i have a track playing on one of my decks it works fine, but when i hit play on my other deck and start to fade into the second track one of the tracks will start skipping usually the one i’m trying to fade too.
it doesn’t happen every time but frequently.
i’ve tried restoring the software to default and recalibrating everything.
What are the specs on your computer and are you turning your wifi and Bluetooth off?
Mac os x. 10.6.8
2.7 ghz inter core i7
4gb 1333 mhz ddr3 memory.

What’s your latency set at? Try raising it and see if that stops it.
my latency is running at 512.
are you using sync function while this is happening?

I had a similar problem when I got the S4. It was the jog wheel. after I calibrated it, it was fine.
This has nothing to do with the computer and/or the S4. These are “Traktor” and/or sync problems. These are valid points and need to be addressed, but have nothing to do with the funktion of the S4 and the computer (mac 10.6.8). It either works, or it doesn’t. After that, you look at other things. I think you have something interfering with signal via usb. I know the aftermath of soundflower and jack on my mac made me rethink the possibilties for error.
