S4 not sending midi sync

Hi,

Having an issue getting my Kontrol S4 to send a midi signal to my drum machine.

I want to have the s4 be the master and the drum machine be the slave
I connected a midi cable from the out port on the S4 to the in on my drum machine
enabled send midi clock and hit send (play) but its not sending a signal

I saw in some support topics that I need to create a generic midi device but how do i know what the tempo note is or how to assign it to the s4? everything I tried has failed.

PS: on TSP 2.6.8 with windows 7

Just spitballing here, is the drum machine set to receive on a specific channel or all channels?

Most drum machines receive on midi channel 10 I believe, mine does.

Is there an omni mode or all channel for receiving? Not sure if Traktor transmits on all channels or a specific one, but changing the drum machine to receive on all channels would probably fix the problem.
