S4 question for use as mixer with CDJ 850s in usb mode
Does anyone know of a way to have my s4 work as the mixer, fx and other two decks while controlling the other two decks with 2 CDJ 850s via usb mode?
When I use the CDJ 850s in usb mode I lose the s4. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. The manual only contemplates doing this with a regular mixer.
Mac or Windows. What you are going to want to do is still plug the CDJ’s in, but do not use them as the sound cards. So your 850’s are just going to be midi devices. I can give it a try when I get home as i have never actually tried it.. I tend to use my DJM800 & CDJ400’s over the S4, but would be nice to know how to work it like that. I will report my findings
Mac, that would be great, thanks. I like the feel of the CDJs but dig my S4 for sample decks and fx.
Totally hear you there. And heck since the S4 is 4 channel, why not use it.
