Recently got myself the S4. Quite the upgrade from a BCD2000.
When i sync two well beatgridded tracks, with snap and quant turned off, i still get the feeling traktor is messing with my cue points. This seems to be the case when multiple decks are playing. When it’s just one track i feel in control and i can manually hit cuepoints at 1/16 or even off-rythm.
When its two tracks playing it tries to correct my actions. So basically:
I just want traktor to match the BPM levels of two tracks for me. From that point on it just needs to let me work the sync.
In the past i could hit sync twice. When i would hit sync the second time (to unsync) it would keep the just corrected BPM level from the sync request.
yes, it can be done: the way to achieve the same as we previously did by hitting sync twice, is by pressing sync, hitting play, then deactivate sync. that way it will set the same tempo while not being sync active. it would be as if you move the pitch fader to match tempo. then just cue it back again and you’re done.
it’s actually a workaround, but it just involves one more key press
