Sample decks
Been loving my sample decks - jamming away grabbing loops here and there and bringing them back later in my set.
One thing I need to do is have a KEY LOCK for the sample decks. I cant see how this is possible.
Can it be done? How do I do it?

Cue play mode for the sample decks would be great too
Yeah NI has officially stated that key lock is coming on a future update.
Being able to set cues within a sample deck would be pretty creative.
i’d rather see traktor detect velocity along with hits, so when you hit a sample you can also control it’s volume/filter/whatever (besides from all the creative potential for the rest of the software)
is it possible to route/paste the sound recorder to a sample deck? or do I have to go and select my recorded sample? it just seems weird that I cant load it to one directly, maybe I just don’t know

Further Uses of the Recorded Loop
One of the great things about the Loop Recorder is that you can use it to record loops that you can then transfer to the Sample Decks. To do this, we will use the Copy mode on the S4:
1.
Hold down the BROWSE button to enter Copy mode.You will see the PLAY button on the Loop Recorder start flashing, letting you know that it contains a loop ready to be copied.
2.
While holding the BROWSE button, press the PLAY or REC button on the Loop Recorder to select it as source.
3.
Still holding the BROWSE button, press any flashing Sample Play button in the Sample Decks to select it as target.
→ Now the loop has been stored in a sample slot, and you can record a new loop into the Loop Recorder if you like. Moreover, your loop now has access to all sample-related features provided by the Sample Deck. Last but not least, as already mentioned, the loop is automatically added to your Collection!

Traktor should be able to do that. You just need a controller with velocity sensitive pads. The S4 hardware does not have velocity sensitive buttons, but you should well be able to do it with the proper controller.
Why not get some of the cheap pad controller, like the LPD8 or something similar? Should be easy to map.
Can you tell me how to do it?
