says my serial doesnt match the product?

just got my S4 today and went to register and it says my serial that was on the back of the install disk doesnt match the product? weird…made a support ticket with NI. anyone else have this problem? or know why this might be happening? i just wanna play :disappointed:

thank you. how long does it usually take for these types of issues to get resolved?

was the sticker on top of another sticker? I’ve heard of some people getting TProS4 install discs with the TP2 serial stuck over the original, so the visible serial is actually for TP2 not TPS4. Try downloading the TP2 demo on the NI website and see if you can authorise that with the serial you have.

i didnt check about the double sticker, but i will try the demo idea. i was so amped on my lunch break to open everything up and get it set up i didnt even think about checking the sticker. but i do remember the sticker said “traktor Pro 2 for S4”. i have a ticket open now and hopefully when NI opens i can get this cleared up. i dont think this would take too long to fix.

Yeh, the S4 specific software had different serial numbers from TP2.

That’s great, apparently someone at NI didn’t think this through all the way.

lol yeh, imagine if TP2’s box had just been a TP1 box with a 2 stuck on the end and a different serial with the TP1 disc. Oh the potential forum horror…
