Some further prizes are up for grabs. Each of the 8 DJs that makes it past round 1 will win doubles of Ritchie Ruftone’s battle record, Braveheart Breaks.
This is the judging panel that will be judging throughout the battle: -
Mista Ed - Renowned UK producer and scratch DJ.
DJ Vekked - 2012 DMC Supremacy World Champion and IDA World Champion.
Ritchie Ruftone - Multiple battle winner, the current DMC UK Champion, and a veteran of the battle scene.
DJ Muzzell - 2005 DMC UK Champion, 2010 WTK Champion and music producer.
Loop Skywalker - Veteran of the battle scene and creator of the WSTC online DJ battle.
And here are the extra judges who will be judging the final rounds: -
DJ Shortkut - Legendary member of the Invisibl Skratch Piklz, Beat Junkies and Triple Threat DJs.
Sparky T - Multiple DMC battle winner, and another veteran of the battle scene.
Chris Karns - 2011 DMC World Champion, 2002 WSTC champ and winner of many regional battles.
DJ Woody - Winner of many a battle, including the ITF and Vestax World Championships, and one of the most innovative DJs in the scene.
As well as the previously mentioned prizes, the winner is also going to get a t-shirt and snapback courtesy of AnyForty. We’ll almost certainly be adding a few other smaller prizes to the prize pot as time goes on too.
We’ve got another nice prize in the pot - a Pro X Fade fader. Here’s the prizes as they stand now: -
1st place winner = DJ-Tech DIF-1S mixer, 2 copies of Ritchie Ruftone’s “Braveheart Breaks”, a t-shirt and snapback from AnyForty, a t-shirt, mug and bag from the Super Scratch Sunday guys.
2nd place runner up = Pro X Fade and 2 copies of Ritchie’s record.
The remaining 6 DJs that place in the top 8 = 2 copies of Ritchie’s record.
Entries are due in 2 weeks from today at 11 PM UK time.
We’ve also finalised the judging panel - DJ Flip (former ITF scratching world champ) and DJ Precision of the X-Ecutioners are now on the final round judging team.
There’s one week left to go! Entries are starting to trickle in now. If you’re going to enter, make sure you’ve submitted by 11PM UK time next Thursday.
^^Haha, I would get owned in this battle too! But whatever your skill level, it’s worth giving it a shot. All competitors get to take part in the peer judging in round 1, so you get to pick your top 8 and influence who goes through no matter how you do personally.
