I’d be looking at saving some cash and going for a smaller HD then putting in a solid state drive. Or if you’ve got the cash just order it with a SSD. Smaller space is well worth how much faster it reads compared to x-rpm drives.
I use a 13’ macbook and it’s fine for me. Haven’t used others though..
I’ve got a 13 inch MBP and I’m not complaining. Bigger might be better but you don’t want to create a wall between you and the crowd.
I thought: Smaller screen, more money saved, a lot more other stuff.
I use a 13" MBP. My next laptop is going to be an 11" MBA because I think 13" is too big to carry around every day, but I have a 24" display at home. I bought the MBP because the MBA didn’t have firewire, and I’ll probably upgrade to the 11" Air the day I find either a Thunderbolt Firewire interface or someone makes PCIe expansion boards that connect over Thunderbolt.
I can fit everything I need to see for Traktor or Maschine on the 13", and SSL easily fit on a 12" non-widescreen G4 Powerbook a long time ago. 11" would be fine.
