Slice/Echo buttons not working (VCI-100SE 4.1 Traktor 2 version)

So I decided to boot up my old vci-100 se on traktor 2 (version 2.0.3) and load up the 4.1 version mapping. All of the buttons are responding, except the slice and echo auto jog wheel effects are not working. Traktor 2 shows that those buttons are sending data, but nothing is happening fx wise when those buttons are pressed. Everything else seems to be working.

It has been a really long time since I’ve used this controller set up and there’s very poor documentation on the internet, so I am wondering if I am missing something obvious. I tried searching for a while before posting.

Update:
Fixed by clicking the big main import button instead of the one in the controller editor (of course). facepalm However, the Slice Echo effects work better in the 4.0 version and the 4.1 version of the echo isn’t very good IMO I discovered.
