Sony MDR V6 headphone help

so i just got them brand new in the mail
and i opened it up

and put them on, and it sounds like the right side of the headphones is like ..blown? or is it supposed to sound more bassy or whatever you wanna call it?
i dont no /=

Definitely not supposed to sound like that. Where did you get them?

i got them on ebay from someone in hong kong or something im not sure,
all of the sony headsets were like in china for some reason, and so i bought one…

but yea, it sounds a little extra bassy (or in other words blown) and the left side doesnt
and i looked at the headset, and the blue “L” doesnt look new, it has a little bit of scratches on it, and the right “R” looks new lol /=

Sounds like they’re either used or crappy counterfeits.

also another thing! the pads on the headsets both kind of pop off? like i can pull the cushion, and one side comes off and i can see inside… ? idk… what should i do?

Did you get the MDR V6L’s or the MDR V6R’s? They make two kinds, each has one side louder than the other. They just announced the MDR V6 Duals at AES where both sides are the same volume, but they won’t be out for a couple more years.

(not really. I mean, c’mon, obviously they are broke, send them back and file a claim with Ebay if the seller gives you grief.)
